Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter on WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later became a morning news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. O'Dell's reportage on the streets of Charleston regarding the leniency of police officers towards DUI cases resulted in being the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell won her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. Her work in Charleston led her to serve as a co-anchor, reporter and NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Before she joined Access Hollywood she was a weekday co-anchor as well as NBC's weekend co-anchor. In addition, she serves as co-anchor for Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She's reported on events such including The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of Pre-ShowArrivals shows in preparation for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. The other shows she has hosted include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
